The Ducal Palace is an architectural marvel that represents the concept of Renaissance developed in Urbino since the second half of 1400, thanks to Federico da Montefeltro. Nothing is left to chance, in pure Renaissance style.
The palace differs from any other in Europe, in fact it is the place of the meeting, with the two Torricini that soar towards the sky in a dialogue with the Divine.
Today the Ducal Palace is home to the Galleria Nazionale delle Marche, visited every year by hundreds of thousands of people. Inside are kept some paintings including: the “Ideal City”, the “Flagellation” by Piero della Francesca, the “Muta” by Raphael. Spectacular the studiolo of Federico, in inlaid wood. In the museum there are masterpieces by great artists: Paolo Uccello, Giusto di Gand, Giovanni Santi, Federico Barocci…
